Fund the first pilot

Help give CAPACITY hUman six months to show what it can become.

I am raising $35,000 to turn an independently developed human-first framework into a structured pilot, usable tools, a Notice a Moment prototype, and a first cycle of real-world learning.

Transparency

Why founder runway is part of the budget

One of the largest expenses in this campaign is me. I want to be transparent about that.

CAPACITY hUman is currently being built by one founder. Writing the materials, developing the pilot, building the tools, coordinating participants, facilitating sessions, documenting results, and creating what comes next require time.

Instead of pretending that labor costs nothing, this budget includes six months of modest founder compensation. That runway allows building CAPACITY hUman to become my work during the pilot period, rather than something I am trying to build around another full-time obligation.

The plan

What happens during the six months

  1. Month 1

Finalize foundational pilot curriculum and participant tools.

  2. Month 2

Build the first structured Notice a Moment experience and pilot materials.

  3. Months 3–4

Recruit participants and conduct initial CAPACITY hUman pilot experiences.

  4. Month 5

Analyze feedback, identify confusion and usefulness, and revise materials.

  5. Month 6

Complete the first pilot cycle, publish what was learned, and determine the next development stage.

The foundation

What already exists

This campaign funds the next stage of the work, not its beginning.
  • The CAPACITY hUman framework
  • CapacityU.org — the public home of the work
  • Foundational framework language and visual system
  • The Notice a Moment concept
  • Public writing and educational content
  • Early application concepts across parenting, relationships, work, education, and self-reflection

Why I'm asking

A note from the founder

I did not start CAPACITY hUman because I planned to become an entrepreneur. I started noticing something.

I began tracing my own reactions backward and asking what happened before the visible behavior. The farther backward I looked, the more I realized behavior was often the last thing that happened, even though it was the first thing everyone judged. CAPACITY hUman grew from that question.

This campaign is not asking people to declare the framework proven. It is asking for the opportunity to test it seriously.

Clear boundaries

What this campaign is — and isn't

CAPACITY hUman is an early-stage educational and self-reflection framework. It is not therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or a replacement for qualified mental-health care.

The pilot is designed to explore whether the framework and tools help participants better identify and reflect on the internal processes surrounding behavior.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why $35,000?

It is the honest cost of six focused months: modest founder compensation, the tools and materials the pilot requires, basic professional infrastructure, campaign outreach, and a small reserve for fees and the unexpected. The full breakdown is published above.

Why is founder compensation included?

Because the work does not happen without the worker. Writing materials, building tools, coordinating participants, facilitating sessions, and documenting results all take time. Rather than pretending that labor is free, the budget names it plainly — roughly $3,810 per month for six months.

What happens if the full goal is not reached?

Funds will be applied to the earliest milestones first — building the tools, then launching the first pilot — and the scope and timeline will be adjusted transparently as needed. Specifics will follow the rules of the eventual crowdfunding platform.

What will you publish afterward?

A plain-language summary of what was built, what was tested, what participants found useful or confusing, and what comes next. Participant privacy will be protected, and nothing will be described as formal scientific validation unless that is genuinely warranted.

Is this therapy or mental-health treatment?

No. CAPACITY hUman is an early-stage educational and self-reflection framework. It is not therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or a replacement for qualified mental-health care.

I'm not crowdfunding the rest of my life. I'm asking for six months to find out how far I can take this when building it is actually my job.

If this idea matters to you, support it when the campaign opens. If giving isn't possible, sharing it with someone who might understand what I'm trying to build is meaningful too.
